We are poor. Appalachian poor.

Home is creeks, hollows, hills,

A dirt-hard road,

puddles with the rain.

Are we happy?

Red rover, red rover

send Mimi right over.

We try hard to get on the hill.

It is not to be.

We....stuck in the hollow.

Are we happy?

Pliceman, pliceman do your duty

here comes Minnie the American beauty.

Funny family..

Our common bond...Jon-Jon

Our down-syndrome baby.

He lives in ancient worlds,

bible stories,

Revolutionary Wars.

Costumes and props

fashioned by his mother.

A coat of many colors, civil war apparel.

His mother creates the lost ark,

Paints the Nefertiti head,

Writes letters to Maria.

Are we happy?

Lavender blue, dilly dilly, Lavender green.

You be my king, dilly dilly,

I'll be your queen.

Jon-Jon is happy,

No need to cry.
